I am in H1B visa now and I came for a consulting firm on decemeber 2000. For the last five months I didn't work for a single day and I am still on the bench with out pay. My visa will expire on december of this year. Is it a problem with INS, how many months I can stay in America with out a job on H1b.
My sister is an american citizen, can she do something with my immigration using adjustment of status245(i). Am I eligible for that, is it needed to apply for that before April 30th. If applicable how long it will take to get my green card. I need your valuable advice on this matter.
