Dear Immihelp,
I and my wife travelled to India and returned to US on April 9, 2000. Our I-94 was marked at entry as valid until April 30, 2000 as per the Visa stamping I had on the passport, although I had a H1 from my present employer valid upto April 2002. Also I had a I-94 from my present employer valid until April 2002 which I didn't carry. My wife's h4 is also valid upto April 2002.
We sent our Visa for validation to "US Department of State" and got it stamped upto April 2002. Now while applying for I485 I came to know that I-94 has to be validated also. I am really confused because I always thought Visa stamping only matters. Please let me know what to do.
