H1B stamping in countries other than Canada and Mexico

I am on OPT and my F1 expires in July. My H1B petition has been approved but the visa has not been stamped on my passport. I plan to travel outside the US for my research work and my F1 would expire or be close to expiration at the time of my return.

I want to know if it is possible to get the visa stamped in countries other than Canada and Mexico? Does anyone have any experience with it?
