From H-1 to F-1 !!

Hi all,

I currently hold a valid H-1 visa and plan to pursue a full time MBA next year. Is it possible to study full time and remain on H1 status as well?? Please let me know your thoughts.

Yes if you can handle both the job and the MBA with your immense capacity to handle the load.

H1 status requires that you work for petitioning employer all the time. You cannot quit the job and go to school. For this, you need to convert to F1.

You can obtain an H1B for part time work if your employer agrees to file for it.
