  • Travel Reimbursement from client

I work for consulting company A, and currently am on a
project at company B. I have a good deal of business travelling involved for company B. Can I claim travel reimbursement directly from company B or does my parent company (A) need to claim it for me????

Either your employer A charges the client an pays to you. (these should not be included in the paycheck as they are expenses. You normally get a full check of the actual expense without deducting anything for the tax).

If co. A does not reimburse you, you MAY deduct the expenses from your income at the time of filing tax return.

Pl. check with your Financial advisor for the tax matters.

You can NOT get paid for any reason from anyone else than your employer, if you are on H-1B visa.

    of course,
