name change on wife's passport

Hi all,

I am planning to take an appointment for H4 visa. My wife already has a passport. I have heard that from this year it is copmulsary to have husband's name on spouse passport. Is it true? . I need to take appointment quickly , so please help

What I read from some other website is that if it is Chennai Consulate, they insisit spouse's name added in the PP. Please check VFS if it is Chennai Consulate.

Not required

It is not "required" to have husband's name on wife's PP while going for a visa. I know 1 of them personally who got the visa on the first week (recently) without having the husband's name in the PP.
