    Travel on OPT before H1 stamping

    I had recently got my H1 application processed and approved.

    I want to travel to INDIA on my current visa status - OPT - in the month of August. My OPT is valid till 17th DEC 2008. I wish to return back to the US without getting my H1 stamped. Would my current H1 application, cause any problems during my re-entry to US on OPT?

    Please let me know. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    As long as your F1 visa stamp is valid and unexpired, you can travel on that. Shouldn't cause any problems for H1 application.

      You just have to enter before Oct 1st if the H1b was a COS. If later than that, F1/OPT would have been terminated and can no longer be used to enter.
