H1b Visa renewal stamping in India before expiry

Hi Guys,

Can you pls advice me..

My First H1b visa expires on 30 Sept 2008..
I am travelling to India in August 2008

I already have my visa renewal petition ..

Can i get a new visa stamping before the expiry of my first H1b visa..

Is it possible or i need to wait till my visa expires ???

Very much possible and should be done to avoid the hassle of transit visas later on during trips.
