would the previous visa help candidate credentials

Was just thinking would the previous visa like B1, F1, or Any US visa, help candidate and his credentials during the H1 interview?

I thought it wouldn't, because, individual credentials would be looked at different view during the respective visa interview.

Am I correct?

Reason behind asking this question is, I was too much worried about this Chennai stamping news(after reading in almost all the forums)
