Can i travel with valid H1 visa of 1 month

Hi,
Could you please help.
Can i travel to Mexico with valid H1B visa of 1 month and valid I-797 of 3 years.Purpose is to renew the I-94.
Any help is appreciated.

Why did your I797 approval not come with an attached I-94? Were you out of status?

While extending my I-797 my I-94 also extended for 3 years but i travled to India after that on old visa. And while returning to US i didn't show my new I797 forms so they gave I-94 as per the old visa for SEP,30,2008.

Yes, you can travel and explain at POE to get a new I-94 based on your latest approval.
