Lost I-797 H1B & I-94, Travel to INDIA

Hello,

I seek advice from the learned people on this forum regarding my situation.

While coming to US I lost my I-94, SSN, & I-797 during the trip with in US.
Now I need to go back to India and havent received I-94, already filed i-102.

reissuance of SSN and I-797 can only be filed after I get I-94.
This is my knowledge. Correct me and suggest a better recourse from your experience please.

Can I travel with Xerox copy of I-797 and no I-94. MY VISA stamping is already done.

You can travel fine but may face problems during re-entry. After you get the replacement I-94, you need to send the I-94 with details of your travel to ACS in London KY to get your record closed properly.

Save your tickets, boarding passes, proof of travel, luggage tags etc to prove that you have departed and not overstayed.

Travel only if it is unavoidable. Otherwise, you can wait.
