  • H1B stampingfirst time but case type = "visa renewal" ??

I have booked appointment date in Mumbai.
Issue is; My interview letter says my case type is "visa renewal".

i am leaving in india and this is my first "H1B" stamping.

I have no idea why interview letter say about "visa renewal"
    it must say "Regular type"

I am selecting following option -please tell me if i am wrong:
    1. Are you : A resident of India/Bhutan
    2. State of Residence : MAharastra
    3. Select Language for Interview:* : English
    3. Purpose of Travel:* : Working in USA
    4. ave you been refused a visa twice within the last 12 months?* : no
    5. Are you applying for the same class of visa which is currently valid or has expired within the past 12 months?* : yes

Also, I made an appointment for my spouse (H4) and her interview letter also says the same even though it's her first time.

    Please Guide me

It is because of your answer here....

    5. Are you applying for the same class of visa which is currently valid or has expired within the past 12 months?* : yes

It should be NO if you are in India and visiting for the first time.

You could cancel and re-schedule. I am not sure if you have to fill the forms or not. I think the forms are saved for 1 week or so.
