Both the spouses for H1 stamping

Both me and my spouses are planning to go for H1 stamping at Mumbai Consulate. Wife came to US on H4 and got her H1 later. Husband has completed 3 years on H1 and now visiting the consulate for extension of 3 more years.

Do we need to apply separately as two different applicants? Is it possible to get same date for interview evenif we have to apply separately?
