I-94 is nearing expiration

Hello All,

My I-94 is nearing expiration. But i have my H1B Visa till 31 Sept 2009.

Since my Passport was expiring on 11 Oct 2008, the immigration officer at the port of entry issued an I-94 till that date only. Now i got my passport renewed for 10 more years, but my I-94 still has the Old date (11 Oct 2008).

Where should i go to Extend the date on my I-94?

Hi,

You need to file form I-539 for the Extension of Stay as sson as possible.
generally it should be 40-45 days before your I-94 expiry.
But now also you can file - I am not sure whether it is through Employer you can file or by yourself.
But you should have the receipt notice that your application has been received on the day when your I-94 is getting expired.
