Hi,
Currently, I am working in USA with my approved petition I-797 for H1B.
I entered into USA at April 2006 on L2 visa. However, my status is been changed to H1B starting 1st Oct 2007. I am planning trip to India.
Considering my passport issuance place is Chennai and H1B stamping for the first time, kindly let me know if its ok to book appointment for Visa stamping at Mumbai Consulate. ( VFS site do provide this option as I am working in USA on H1B and will be returning to USA after stamping).
2) If yes then what should be address in DS 156. Do i need to put address of Mumbai Jurisdiction or it can be from other jurisdiction( Native place is Kerela).
