  • L1 To H1 , void COS

    Hello,

I'm new to this forum. I've read many posts about L1 to H1 (with or without COS).
My situation is that I'm working for company A on L1B visa valid till Aug 09.
This year I filed for H1 (COS) through company B and it's still pending with the USCIS. Not sure what's going on.

I wanted to continue on L1B as the job market is bad.
So I travelled when the H1B processing was pending to void the COS.

I came back to the US on Oct 24 with new I94 on L1B visa.

    a) Suppose if my H1 gets approved anytime now, will I be on H1B visa from the day it's approved?
    b) Will USCIS consider my new I94 that I got on Oct 24 ?
    c) Will the COS get approved even if I have travelled on pending H1B?
    d) Will I accumulate an illegal status of stay in the US if I continue to work on L1B visa post H1B approval ?

Please let me know the answers. I'm worried.
