H1B transfer

Hello All,

I needed some information regarding H1B transfer. Is it mandatory to be physically present in USA, when we go for H1B transfer.

I am currently in India, but have a valid H1B and recently got a perm job in USA and the new employer wants to transfer my H1B.
So can anyone please suggest whether I should come to USA before the H1B transfer takes place or can I stay back in India while the new employer applies for H1B transfer.

No. You can be outside the US. Read the FAQs
