Status of H1 when I travel back to India

I am on H1B and am planning to go back to India and am getting transfered to the sister concern of my company in India.
What will be the status of my H1?
Will it be terminated immediately?
Or will it still be available till the expiration date?
Is there any thing I or my company would need to do or can we let it just expire?
How long will it be valid?
Will there be any issues if in future I want to come back on any visa to US?
