  • H1 Stamping (Renewal) in Laredo

First of all thank you for this forum for the giving me great insight to immigration matters.

Today I got my H1 renewal stamped at Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Laredo is an ASC consulate and its a two day process, first day they take the finger print and photo, just five minutes in a DHL facility. Second day interview at consulate. Interview was simple just asked who is my employer, what is my job, letter from my employer and last W2. I had a client letter and other many documents also but VO didn't asked for it; but my advice is to take all documents you have. Couple of H1 renewal people were there we all got visa.

Tips for people going to Laredo, be sure to take a print out of the e-mail confirmation of PIN payment very important. There is a new form for ASC consulates CEAC form (https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ ), this is in place of DS156 and DS 157. You don't need 156 and 157. You need to submit only the confirmation page with barcode clearly visible, they don't want the full form printed out submitted to them (but taking it with you won't hurt)

I used a travel service (http://www.usvisatransport.com) nice people and trustworthy.

Thank you once again for the help from this forum, I read many threads here for my planning and sure it helped.
