What happens to my H1 if a new company acquires current company

I am currently working for company A on H1 (I took this job recently and transferred my H1 2 months ago to this company). Now there are talks going on that a new company B may acquire company A. They want to keep me on board. I am not sure what to do here, do I need to transfer my current H1 to company B or since this is an acquisition does the H1 becomes legal with new company.
Appreciate any help.
