Is the H1 Clock Reset still in vogue

Hi,

I got my H1 visa in 2003. Technically my 6 years are up in 2009. But I stayed out of US for more than a year between January 2004 to March 2005. Would my H1 clock get reset because of my stay out of US for more than a year?

My other question is, if the clock does not get reset, would I be able to grab that extra time on my H1?
