Time gap between I797 and visa interview

Hi Friends,

I have a doubt, until what time can i attend the vias interview after issuing I 797. Now i cannot attend the interview due to some problem. What is the validity of the I797 and until what time i can attend the visa interview (like 1 year form the date of issue).

---- Any time as long as your I-797 is valid. subsequently, you will be able to enter the US even during the last month. All you would be needing at that time is a letter from your employer to say that your job is still vslid and the employer is waiting for you to come and join (to be shown at the POE) if asked
