USCIS website status

Hello,

Does anyone know how often USCIS updates the status like approval, rejection, resumption, withdrawal etc in their website ?

Some people say they do it only once a month and sometimes they don't even bother to update the status on their website.

We beneficiaries, would want to know about the status without even asking the employer about it.
The employers, as experienced by many, do not want to disclose the facts.

So what's the workaround for it ?

Unfortunately beneficiaries have no way of knowing. H1B is employer's petition. But, I think status is updated as soon as there is some change to update.
