I am currently on an L1 visa which expires in Sept 09. My company has applied for my H1 visa this year with Consular processing. Providing I get selected in the lottery, my lawyers have advised me to go to UK in sept 09 ( when the L1 expires) and get the H1 stamped and return after the 1st Oct 09.
In this case will my L1 Years ( 5 yrs) cut into my H1 years, since I will be leaving the country and re-entering.
Also, can my wife get her H1 stamping done in UK? I am a British citizen and so is my son but my wife has her Indian passport with a British PR. We also own a property in UK whcih is currently rented. Can my wife get her H1 stamped in Uk or does she have to go to India?
Any inputs would be appreciated.
