L1 and H4

Hi,

I came to usa in august on L1 and I donot hold a job now ..but my L1 visa is valid till 2011 ..before l1 i went for H4 stamping in india ..at the time of L1 stamping the lady at the consulate has told me very clearly that she is not cancelling my H4 and I hold 2 visas both L1 and H4 ..when ever i want to change the status she just asked me to go out of the country and come back on H4 ..

now the problem is i am gng to india in the moth of april and as i donot hold a job i want to come on H4 .my doubt now is will my L1 validity be still there if i come on H4 this time?in case i get a job in the cmng mths can i go out of USA and come back again on L1 as I still have validity ??

please clarify this at the earliest .

If you don't have a job, in what visa status are you now?

You must leave as soon as possible, you have been out of status since the time you have not been working. Or did you apply for a COS already?
