  • H1b renewal or transfer?

    Hi

My current employer requires a 6 month notice before quitting. My H1B expires in Oct 09. I have a new job offer which I very much like to take up. Do I renew my current visa and then quit or do I quit and transfer my current h1B and then renew?

    Hope I made myself clear
    Thanks

---- You have to transfer your H1, get a receipt and then quit your current employer

There have been denials of H1b transfers off late. In your best interest, wait till your H1b gets approved and then join the new employer. You can PP your case to be sure.

        H1B transfer

Is there anything I can do to avoid refusal of H1B transfer? Does it matter which time of the year it is done?

        Thanks

A genuine job other than some consulting company operating from a dungeon has more chances of approval.
