H1B denied....need suggestion....Please help!!!!!!

Hi,

My H1B extension got denied after 5 months of expiration of I-94. Was I out of status from the day of expiration of my I-94 ?
[I was never on bench]

Please help.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

--- If the H1B extension was filed prior to the expiry of the I-94 then you were in status for the 5 months (after the expiry of the I-94) while the extension was being processed by the USCIS.

Since your extension has been denied, unfortunately, you are out of status since that day (of USCIS denying the extension) and it is required that you leave the US immediately.
