H1B visa working odd job

I have valid H1B visa and i am currently located in US. Looking for a project. For survival can i work outside in any store. They are asking me to provide SSN number can i do so. please help.

How come your employer is not paying you? As per law your employer should pay you irrespective of you in project or not. Also its illegal to work in stores/or any other workplaces apart from the ones mentioned in your I-129/LCA

Please dont do that. Its illegal. And if you give SSN then you will be in big trouble.

Complain to DOL on a WH4 form. Employer MUST pay you on H1b at all times.
