Urgent - Visa Status - Not receipt

I need urgent advise.

I applied to change my H2b visa to Turism Visa.My I-94 Expiring next week.I didn't received the receipt yet.Please advise me.

1.I am eligible to stay in US after i-94 expires,since applied before it expires?
2. I used the regular mail to send my application, so I don't have any proff that I apply to change my visa.
3. I will really apreciate any help.

Wait for the receipt. A few days between I-94 date and receipt date are ok, although illegal. But, if COS is denied you have to leave immediately.
