Urgent h2b to b1 visa status

I need urgent advise.

I applied to change my H2b visa to Turism Visa.My I-94 Expiring next week.I didn't received the receipt yet.Please advise me.

1.I am eligible to stay in US after i-94 expires,since applied before it expires?
2. I used the regular mail to send my application, so I don't have any proff that I apply to change my visa.
3. I will really apreciate any help.

--- It is my understanding that if you have to legally stay beyond your I-94 expiry date, you will need the receipt number from the USCIS acknowledging that they received your application request.

2. I used the regular mail to send my application, so I don't have any proff that I apply to change my visa.

--- It is too late now, but with your situation you should have done a priority overnight via any of the national carriers. Don't panic, try and wait couple more days or contact the USCIS right away explaining them your situation.

3. I will really apreciate any help.
