    H1b beyond 6 years

    My first H1b petition period - Oct 2005 - Sept 2008
    after renewal: Apr 2008 - Oct 2010

    In Oct 2010, technically I would have stayed in US only for 3 years on a H1. Can I get an extension based on that, what is that process called, extension/change of status etc?
