There is no concerns at all.. Pl. stop listening to rumors. I recently went for vacation to India and returned without any issues. Immigration Officers did not even see the I 797. I do not think there is any issues as long as you have job.

At very minimum, you should be able to show most recent pay stubs.
If asked for more, you should be able to produce client letter, W2, bank statements, project and work details.

I am on my H1 and am with a Indian consultant over here. I am planning to go on vacation this year end and go for stamping?

With the current market situation and pressure on H1B immigrants, is it safe to leave the country? If so, will it create any problems during stamping or at the port of entry. Please suggest.
