  • approved H1 to F1 transfer: Can I go for premium processing later on?

    Hi,

I graduated with Masters in the US and I almost finished my OPT period. I was working under my OPT. I recently got my H1B approved and also got an admission to another univ for another masters. I want to go for this course but was not sure what would happen to my H1. Would it be revoked? If so, after my second masters can I go for a premium processing directly or do I have to apply thorugh the Cap? I would really appreciate if somebody can help me with this.

    Thanks in advance.

You are cap exempt after your second masters as your H1b is already approved. As your F1 status is terminated from Oct 1st, continuing on F1 might be tricky. You may need to travel and get a visa and a new Sevis payment to be made. Talk about the details with your ISO.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
