H1 Transfer- Leave period before joining new company

Hi,

My current status is that I got H1 approval for a new company and I am on leave from my current employer from almost 6 weeks.
First 3 weeks I was on paid leave and the rest of it is Loss of pay(LOP) till now.
Kindly suggest till what time I can extent my LOP leaves from my employer before joining my new company.
without getting out of status. and Also what does the new rule says?

What is the reason for the vacation? Was it bench without pay?

I just wanted to take time off and in the mean while I got a new job offer. In the period of 6 weeks, first 3 weeks are paid leaves and and last 3 are without pay.

I would suggest you get back to work, get the recent paystubs and then take up the new offer failing which the risk of transfer being denied is high.
