Hi Txh1b,
Im on H1b and my fiancee is on OPT (expires Oct09); she has no interest in applying for H1B. She is currently in India and we are planning to get married in July'09 and return to the US in August'09. We wanted to know the process of applying for change of status from F1-H4 in India while we are there? (Including the forms, doc's etc to be produced.) I have researched lot of forum's but could not find correct answer. Can you/anyone experienced in this situation please guide us?

If you want to bring your wife as your dependent, get a H4 visa stamp.

Status changes are handled and required only when you are in US.
