LCA while H1 extension Pending

Hi,

I'm under a weird scenario which I couldn't find answer for. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My H1B extension was applied on March 23rd and I received my receipt number on May 4th. The status is still pending. Meanwhile my project scrapped and my employer has promised to find some other assignments. But I'm wondering if the Visa department would process my LCA for the new assignment (another location).

Please help me with your advice!!

what's the reason for your assumption? just because it's a new location? your employer has to take care of it. If it's only client at new location, and not your company, it's a not a problem.

Its just the client which is getting changed. I still work for the same employer. They say that a new LCA cannot be applied when the H1B extension is pending. Is that true?
