H1 Transfer, But my H4 is in India now

I have couple of doubts

1. I am transferring my H1 to another company, my kid with valid H4 is in India now. My Kid's H4 stamping is valid for one more year. Can my kid travel with old H4 (I mean valid H4 but attached to my old H1). with someone to US.

2. After my kid comes to US with old H4, her H4 will expire in next year August. Can I apply for her H4 extension myself or I need to go through a lawyer. How much will be the cost for H4 extension ?

1. Yes, old H4 visa with your new approved petition copy should be fine.

2. Yes, you can apply for H4 extension for your kid. I think it's about $300.

If your kid presents the latest approval copy of your I797, the I-94 will be given based on that and will save you the cost of applying for an extension next year.
