  • Certificate Related Confusion

I have a DotNet course certificate of six months duration, i did not submit it to my employer while filing H1b petition , i only submitted my 10th,12th and degree certificates

Now if i mention this dotnet certificate in DS-157 form. will it create any problem

is there any possibility that VO will ask that why did'nt i submitted it to my employer while filing H1b and so it is not evaluated by USCIS .

so will he raise any objection and will ask to get the certificate evaluated ?

So Now should i mention it in DS-157 and take it to the interview or not?

AFAIK, the certification courses don't mean much and DS157 asks for degrees and not such courses.

You have to present the course details during the interview if that supports your cliam for a H1b visa.

For H1b processing, these course will not make a difference even if you submitted those to the employer unless they were part of your degree program.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

My job in india is based on dotNet programming so is there
any chance that VO ask for professional course certificate on DotNet.

And If i show him the certificate in interview but dont mention it in DS-157 then will he raise any objection that why did not i mention it in DS-157.

As my 10th,12th and BE certificate are evaluated so is this dotnet certificate also needs to be evaluated.

if i take it in interview would the VO ask to get it evaluated.

OR is it better to just say 'no' when VO asks for computer certificate and should i say that i got the job on the basis of my degree because i did not send the dotnet certificate for evaluation.

Did you read the DS157 form? Did they ask about certification courses. You don't seem to know what you are doing. If you have a certificate, you can say yes. It is not a degree for you to mention on the DS157 form. Got it???

          In DS-157 form Question 17 says :

"List All Educational Institutions You Attend or Have Attended.Include
Vocational Institutions But Not Elementary Schools"

As it Mentions vocational Institutions so i thought that does my
computer course also comes under vocational course.

          ALSO please tell me
As my 10th,12th and BE certificate are evaluated so is this
dotnet certificate also needs to be evaluated.

if i take it in interview would the VO ask to get it evaluated.

I have already replied. You keep asking the same question again and again. Degrees get evaluated when applying for a H1b, certificates DO NOT. Certifcates are only worth the cost of paper they are printed on.

                Hi ,

Just mention your 10th , 12th and Engineering Degree education details in DS-157 form.
No need for the certificate course you have done.
As your petition was approved on the basis of the above three and mainly engineering degree.

VO will be more interested in your project (in US and India), work profile and company details.
He /She will not be interested in how you have learned dot net.

                Thanks and Regards,
                Abhay

ok Then i will not mention my dotnet certificate course in
                  DS-157 form.

But i will take the course certificate to my visa
interview and show it to the VO if he asks for any
                  computer course certificate.

                  so is this fine...

i was just worried that if i show it to the VO without
mentioning it in DS-157 form, would He have any objection.

Please......You are a person with an advanced degree or atleast a degree. You have been given some direction over and over again. You come back and ask the same questions.

Would you exhibit the same kind of judgement in your job as well? No body holds your hand in US on your job. Crtical thinking and decision making ability are some skills one needs to have. Try to read all the posts again and make a decision by yourself.
