  • H1B reaches 6 years limit

    Hello, there! Help needed!
My husband's H1B 6 years will ends in Feb.2010. Can he change to F1 and then after find a job apply to H1 again? Is there any way to avoid 1 year out of US?
    Thanks!

No. One has to be physically out of the US to get a new 6 year term. If the company has applied for a GC 365 days prior to H1b expiry, one could get extensions.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
