Driver License Renewal

Hi,

I am in California and my H1B expires on 09-30-09 which is when my driver license also expires.

My employer has already filed for H1 extension but approval might take a few weeks yet according to processing times.

What can I take to the DMV in order to get driver license renewed?

You cannot renew it if you can not prove that you extension of stay has been approved. One of my friends seeking L1 extension got RFE and he was not able to renew his DL for 6+ months. Finally when he got the approval he renewed his DL. He was in California only.
