L1 to H1 (urgent)

Hi,

I am working on L1 (expired) I-94 valid till apr 2011 with company A. Company B is asking me to apply for H1 and get it approved through a job offer not confirmed yet. My question is: If H1 gets approved and I do not get a project for few days after approval, will I be able to continue with company A using current L1 untill I get a project to switch over to H1? (1st Oct is alredy past).

Did you read the FAQs?

If it is a COS, you will be on the new status on the day of approval.
