  • H1B - First month No payslips

I have my H1B approved for COS (start date: 1st Oct). The PROJECT at the client site has been delayed. The consultant is likely to start paying from the first week of November but I wont have any payslips for the first month of October.

Will the absence of payslip for the first month (October 2009) have any impact in future especially when I go for VISA STAMPING with this petition because I have heard that consulates often ask for W-2 in addition to just looking at the current paystubs.

I am concerned if this missing one month payslip be an issue?

Irrespective of whether you are in a project or not, you need to get paid when you are on H1B. Check the below URL to know your rights as an H1B visa holder to prevent any issues in future (Stamping, GC etc).
