Urgent help needed on H1b status

Hi , below is situation pls guide.. will loose a job offer..if not worked out..

1. My wife is a recent dental(Dentist) graduate from BU
2. we applied pre and post opt and she started working at a clinic on opt from Aug-09
onwards
3. Her h1b got approved from oct 1 09 onwards
4. She was laid off on Sep 15 and did not work till Dec 1.
5. Now she is getting a job offer and we don't know what is her status.
6. we are in process of checking if her employer still have h1b or have revoked it
7. We are expecting baby so she did not work and we have to pay loans from couple of from now..
8. what options do we have so that she is legal and back to work.
is he opt is valid ?
I am not if we will apply for a new h1b or will do a transfer..
she won't have payslips for h1b transfer.
We can also get some medical certificate from doctor..if that can help..

Please guide..we will loose her job offer if we could not sort out her immigration stuff.

Most likely her change of status will be denied as she was out of status from the time she was laid off.The best thing would be to have employer file H-1B premium processing and change of status, if COS is denied leave the country and get visa stamped from home country.
