About three months ago the company I was employed by shut down operations because of the state of the economy. I was layed off and since then have moved on to work for another company. How difficult is it for me to change my work visa to this new company and what are the steps I must take.

My Work-Visa is an H1B, and I am a legal alien. The company I previously worked for still has me doing work every other week or so, but now I am full-time at a different company. I have done my taxes, SS, and such for this company already. How do I change my work visa to this new company so that I can go home and come back without trouble for the month long vacation I am planning to take.
