H1B Visa stamped on passport and I797 extension petition approved

Hello,

I have H1B visa stamped on my passport until 06/29/2019. Recently my employer applied for my extension and I got approval starting from 06/30 for another year.

I am travelling to India on 4/9 for 2 weeks and will be back by 4/23.

1. Should I go for stamping/drop box with new I797 approval notice?
2. If I go for stamping, will my previous visa get cancelled?
3. If I do not go for stamping, I can enter US on my previous Visa, for how long I'll get I94 ? Valid till old visa or new I797? Provided I show new I797 notice at port of entry.

What should I do? Please advice.
