H1B LAYOFF - H1B Grace Period?

Hi,

I am on H1B and I got laid off 2 weeks back. My Employer gave me the severance package. I need to know when will my H1B grace period start? Is it going to start from the last day of my Job or is it going to be from the last day of my last pay check through severance package?

Please advise. I'd really appreciate.

Your ex-employer will inform USCIS when you stopped working. That will be the day. Ask them. I guess it will be last day of your job and that will match your pay-slip.
