H1 stamped but did not enter USA. Validity for 6 years or less?
Hi,
I had my H1B petition I129 approved from 2016 to 2019. I went for stamping Jan 2017. Due to 221-G and further processing, the visa stamping was in June 2017. The validity of visa is from 2017 till sept-2019.
However due to family health reasons, I had to drop my plans and did not enter USA till now.
Recently I had an employer who wants to transfer and extend the visa for next few years.
I would like to know if the transfer is successful, will I be able to extend again (not considering GC process) and can the total stay be 6 years from now. Or will the stamping from 2017~2019 is considered and my total duration will be 4 years or less.
