  • H1B Visa Stamping - New Employer [URGENT]

    Hi,

My H1 Visa Stamped on the passport with my previous company expires next month (Dec 31st 2004). I have changed to new company in Feb 2003. The H1B approval notice (I-797A) with the new company is valid until Jan 2006 (I-94). Can I get Visa Stamping done on the new company name by mailing to Washington D.C visa office ? what are the options available to me ?

Currently My USA Green Card is in Process (Federal Level Labor - Chicago). If I do not get my Visa stamped with the new company, would it affect my green card processing further in any way ?

    Thanks,
    Mahesh

The state department has stopped processing visas in the USA. You will have to go to a consulate (Home country or Mexico - Check with the consulate) to get it stamped. However, as along as you have valid I-94 you will be in legal status. Stamp on your passport is only for travel.

This has nothing to do with your Green Card Process.
