H1B visa expired in January 2019, Can it be renewed?

My h1b was sponsored by a company in 2015. In 2016, another company transferred my h1 and extended it till 2019 january. But I did not stay there for long and returned to India. Can I renew this h1b?

I hope you are in the same company. It cannot be extended but you file it through cap exempt petition. With that you dont need to undergo lottery again.
