Approved H1B petition but never gone for stamping

My H1B petition was approved long time back in 2008, but I never went for visa stamping. Can I still use this already approved petition to get it transferred with different employer and go for stamping?

I can still see status as Approved on the USCIS website.

Please suggest.

No. You have to have held H1 status or have a H1 approved in the past 6 yrs. Your approved petition is more than 10 yrs. old and hence is useless.
